Lessons Learned

Many things that we should have learned and are still learning with the current government shutdown and the most important lesson is that we are unable to depend on the worldly government. One thing we have learned is that we must save and make better investments with our money. Additionally, we have learned that everything usually stops except for the banks, the stock exchange, etc and usually things that take away from us and not necessarily ever intended to aid or help us. We should have learned that we must do less spending on unnecessary things and start placing our money and investments where we will receive a return. What we have also learned is that our government is deeply concerned about people, mostly themselves, but only certain people, in certain categories, that look a certain way. It would be nice if we could depend on our government to be concerned about humanity and how to unite instead of divide. But, regardless of how our government views the people, let us view ourselves at a higher standard. We can broaden our perspective and view by saving more and spending less. Also, when we do spend make certain that it is on things that will help ourselves in the time of need. With such a lack of respect, honor, order, and grace from our leaders it is no wonder our world is in the shape that it is in.

1 Corinthians 16:2

On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.

Proverbs 27:12

The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.
